"Outerwear" was the first project of my second year. The focus of this project was to re-design an outerwear piece based on a classic, the biker jacket was my chosen piece, and make a final prototype of it.

The concept for my project was Acient Egypt, specifically the pharaonic figures. The link between the bikers and the pharaohs was created through their representation of exclusivity in very opposite ways. The pharaohs being the highest social status and the bikers being society's outcasts enabled to create a sense of status that not everyone could reach.

The essence of this project is the idealized meeting the mundane.
