The purpose of this project (Self) was to find ourselves as designers, define more our techniques both in the making and the design processes. My concept for this project revolves around what is socially perceived as human perfection and imperfection. This eventually evolved into the idea of  human breakage both physically and mentally, which is how I got to broken bones and inner struggles, with the clothes becoming protecting layers from the world with a level of understanding of what who is wearing it is going through.

As well as choosing a concept for this project we had to select a given brief, Fielding & Nicholson was my chosen one and which led to the exploration of suiting. This seemed like the perfect conceptual combination since the suit is one of the garments that represent perfection the most therefore it seemed perfectly ironic to develop it within the concept of imperfection.
